I'm back from my business trip and shooting racing photos again this weekend. Saturday will be a big day for the girls who run in the Ashland Stakes. She Be Wild will be one of them and is one of the favorites.
Bright and early this morning, Matt and I went to the track and got to catch Nicanor, a full brother to Barbaro, work 5/8's in company. He had the french jockey, Julien Leparoux aboard for the timed work.
Nicanor looked great. Unfortunately, as the two horses were galloping out and slowing down, the other horse did something (I didn't see it and don't know what he did) and ended up having a non-displaced condylar fracture. He had to be taken off the track in the equine ambulance. The good news is that he is doing well and is scheduled to have surgery.
I'll be busy again tomorrow but hope to post when I get a chance.
